Fun competition's

Why don't we have a small competition where we go off for a month and try and take a picture which represents a theme or topic decided upon? I'm sure one of us with a website (or Ted) could host the images with a poll for people to vote which was the "best" representation of said topic.

I would suggest we have some basic rules:

1) Must be taken within the time set (i.e. the Month of August)
2) Must not be digitally enhanced (basic colour fettling acceptable not changing contents)
3) Pictures must have a maximum width of 800px, 72dpi.
4) One entry per person
5) winner decides on the next topic.

What do you think? Is there enough interest / photographers to warrant doing this?

Good idea, happy to host as well (providing someone writes the scoring code)

However, there are other sites that already do similar.

yes, there are plenty but few places I have been have the friendly nature of PH and the chance to recognise locations or meet the photographers...

Good idea, I'd like to nominate the subject of "city - cars". In other words, picture of a car in a city location. Any takers?

Tell you what, I've some free time next week I'll set up a little script on my site which allows you to upload an image and set some variables and go from there?

Us Mods have the facility to do a poll, wont be able to put the pics in the pole, But we can have a few photos on said site and then call them pic1 etc in the poll on here.
