Canon 7D Mark II thumbnails?

Anyone know how to get thumbnails to appear for Canon 7D2 on windows? Being a newer camera, windows haven't caught up. Anyone know a working codec?

shoot in jpeg + RAW. right click on folder and choose optimise this folder for pictures.

easy.

Or install Digital photo professional, it's free with a Canon camera and imo it coverts RAW better than any Adobe product.
