cheap digital video camera

Hello All,

I am getting married in a few weeks and I need to source a video camera for my ushers to use.

I don't want one that uses cassetes, I like the idea of one that uses SD cards or similar, as we will only use it for the wedding we don't want to buy an expensive new one, could someone point me in the right direction here at all please?

The most recent phone cameras are going to be at least as good as a very cheap camera. Alternatives many compact cameras can shoot HD video that will be good enough.

Most important investment would be a tripod for stable footage.

Your problem won't be video, it will be audio.

As has been stated, mobile phones and compact cameras record perfectly good video these days. But, you'll be wanting to hear speeches and unless you arrange some kind of microphone setup, you'll end up with speeches that are way off mic anderhaps unintelligible.
