I have some spare time on my hands and could benefit from getting off the sofa a little more, and looking at all your wonderful photographs has me thinking I would like to have a go.

I currently have a point and shoot Samsung camera.

Does this look like a decent deal please? It seems to come with pretty much everything I would need.

The lenses are the first thing to let the package down. The camera is full-frame and the 18-55 is a crop sensor lens. As it would be the lens range used most often - not a good idea. The screw in lenses will be dire. Slave flash bottom of the pile, no need for remote, filters or screen protectors. The table top tripod will collapse etc, etc. In short avoid!

If you're on a budget go to MBP Photography

Thanks.

No, I'm not in a budget.

I do like the look of the D750. If I stick with that what lenses would be appropriate?

D750 is a fantastic camera. For a vast majority of situations the 24-70 lens is a top performer.

The crop lenses all have 'DX' somewhere in the description http://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/Nikon/Nikon-SLR...

Full frame sensors really deserve decent lenses. The 24-70 already suggested in in the correct league, as is the 70-200VR. However I'd point out that going from compact to fairly top-end DSLR is a heck of a jump and may give you more problems than you expect... but if you are bright and want to learn, then there will be plenty for you smile

The top lenses can often be spotted by an 'N' for nanocoating... this beastie looks interesting if you need some wide angle: https://www.calphoto.co.uk/product/Nikon-AF-S-NIKK...

that lens is wonderful for landscapes, sharp and has VR. Might be persuaded to let mine go smile
