There was various different locations being lit up across the UK last night, in the celebration of the year of light. However, Durdle Door was my closest, and here's my take on the evening, enjoy!

I wondered where the Coastguard Helicopter fitted in to the light show.

BBC is reporting that a spectator was, unfortunately, taken ill.

An 82 year old man collapsed at the top of the hill after walking back to the car park, he was flown to a local hospital, but unfortunately he passed away frown

I've just seen the local news it seems that spectators had blocked the roads, a spectator was then taken ill near the car park on the way back up and the ambulance crew ended up requesting a member of public on a motorbike take them to the scene. After being airlifted to hospital the individual sadly passed away.

It was very poorly organised, especially for emergency services!

Nice shots. I visited Durdle Door last month when I was in Dorset photographing a motorsport event. I made my own light show with my LED torch smile

Awesome! I don't currently have a big torch so I definitely took advantage of the lights to get the Milky Way at the end of the show haha!
