I'm guessing this is just a piss take of the original video that circulated years ago of an Asian photographer who apparently did it for real.

I think many photographers fail to gain rapport with their subjects and there's lots of things they can do to overcome it, and to provoke an expression or reaction. That's not one I saw listed in any of my books, but maybe it works!
