Hi guys, I'm seeking some help with a new GX7.
I've had Canon EOS 350/400/550 etc up to now and had intended to further upgrade, but then decided to follow the recommendations of a friend and bought the Panasonic as an extra/different camera [the Canon EOS550 is also going off for a service].
There is much about the GX7 that is fairly familiar and I particularly like the smaller size and much lighter weight. I can see me wanting to use it quite a lot for more casual shots.
My problems are two-fold and both relate to the editing of the images:--
1) Once downloaded, and within the individual date folder, I'm used to that same date appearing in the file name, but the GX7 seems to retain just the sequential image number. Is there any way I can get the date and image number to be retained together (as per Canon) ?
2) If I shoot a number of images using the 'Burst' drive, the downloaded images are grouped together under an overall 'Burst Shooting nnn' (which makes subsequent editing very time-consuming). Is there any way that I can use the 'Burst' drive but end up with the individual images showing ?
As I say, I rather like the GX7 but these 2 issues will cause me problems if I can't resolve them. Any suggestions most welcome.
Many thanks.

I believe the numbering when downloading to computer is handled by the program you use. I use Lightroom and can set up various import options for folder names etc. I've had Canon EOS 350/400/550 etc up to now and had intended to further upgrade, but then decided to follow the recommendations of a friend and bought the Panasonic as an extra/different camera [the Canon EOS550 is also going off for a service].

I've only used the burst feature a couple of times but after import using Lightroom they have sequential numbers, eg P10000067.RW2 P10000068.RW2 P10000070.RW2
Not sure if that's any help but it seems to work for me.
