Why on earth didn't they succeed?

I was searching for a small travel thing to accompany my Sony RX1r and I bought NX500 and then 10mm fisheye and 50-150mm. I absolutely love them all! Image quality, features, prices, autofocus etc.
My girlfriend wants to help out with social media in my company so I started researching and stumbled upon NX camera in CEX. £320 later with 2 years warranty and kit lens, I can‘t believe that Samsung didn't take over whole mirrorless market with this gem! Taking a photo and editing it on the go IN THE CAMERA and then uploading it to social media/flickr etc using data FROM YOUR CAMERA is just amazing!
and because Samsung was very smart and built a camera with a proper grip which is filled with a massive battery, you can actually enjoy playing with it.

Ok, maybe £1300 rrp when released wasn't helping wink but now what a great second hand buy!

£499 new on Amazon. It seems to do well in all the reviews.

Main reason perhaps being the iPhone which came along at a far lower price, and which was and still is pretty much perfect for point and shoot Instagram/Facebook quality pics, etc, whilst at the same time decimating the mobile phone market ruled for many years by Nokia.

The iPhone camera photo quality continues to improve for the market that it's aimed at, whilst at the higher point-and-shoot end, the offerings by Canon and Sony are very pocketable and very affordable.

Sony have practically dominated the higher end of the point-and-shoot market with their supremely competent RX100 Mk1, Mk2, Mk3 and Mk4 variants, all of which are still available to suit differing customer demands and budgets.

But none of the RX100 are nowhere near in terms of usability, expandabality and even image quality with NX being APSc sensor. Plus they are completely different cameras so not competition.
Samsung just screwed up marketing. I follow all photography gear for few yeras now and I stumbled upon both NX500 and RX by accident.
I really now can't see a reason why should anyone buy a xxxD or Nikon's equivalent over NX as a first "serious camera"
