Tripod in handluggage
Discussion
Anyone had any issue taking a tripod with them in hand luggage? I'm flying BA to Munich this weekend for a trade show and I'm flying handluggage only with my camera bag and minimal clothes in the top pocket, but as last minute idea, I thought I might take the tripod
Just wondering if anyone has had any issue? I don't see it listed on any of the lists as 'dangerous' goods or something that must be checked in as hold baggage
Even though it's a pretty small, light Manfrotto with rubber tips, I could imagine an overzealous security type could suggest it might be used as a weapon
Anyone?

I have no definitive answer, other than trying to get hold of the specific airline to see what their policy is, but personally I wouldn't risk it unless it is a cheapie and you don't mind running the risk of having it confiscated.
That's kinda where I was going with itI think I'll just leave it behind
Thinking rationally about it, I'm not sure I can see myself carrying it about all day and going to the effort of setting up for the odd shot that might benefit
