I've got a couple of friends who have been in NYC. Looks brilliant.

Their flight was cancelled and they spent two days playing in the snow.

Thanks for posting your images. Here in the UK we had heard a lot on the news about the snow in the US, but these are the first I had seen on any photography forum.

Thanks, this was between Park Ave and Madison at about 33rd street i think, never noticed the shape of the trees down there before the snow.

I wish i went out earlier to take more, but it was hard motivating myself out of my warm apartmentsmile

Just goes to show, far less snow in these photos than you'd see in those plastered all over the media!

As they say, weather sells papers...

That is one beautiful photograph.

I know what you mean about motivating yourself when it's snowing and cold outside, whilst lovely and warm inside, I missed some fantastic opportunities last year and we're only had a light sprinkling of snow so far so haven't had the chance to make amends.

Love Katz's

I had a turkey sandwich there last time I went. Just bread and about a hand spans worth of turkey. Going off christmas dinner you'd think that would be like tucking into a block of saw dust, but that was the juciest, tastiest turkey I have ever eaten. Just bread and turkey!

Great images, really like these two. Amazing how different it looks with no traffic on 42nd Street.

A colleague was there over Christmas and reckons they were walking around in shirt sleeves - incredible the range of weather you guys get.

Looking at those photos you can "hear the quietness"
