Hey guys, I currently have a Sony NEX 7 but iv been reading a few reviews over the weekend regarding the A7, and it sounds like its defiantly a step up.
So my current set up is the NEX 7 and i normally keep the SEL18200 lens on.
With regards to what type of photos i take, its landscapes, football photos, but i do try to mix it up and try different styles like im sure everyone does.

My question is would the upgrade to a A7, or A7r etc (what ever i can afford) be worthwhile, or should i stick with the NEX7.
I know if i upgrade to full frame ill also have to invest in new full frame lenses which is an additional cost again.
2016 is going to be a big year for photography for me as i am going the IOM TT, Euro 2016, and also my honeymoon to Florida.

Any opinions would be great.

I'd take a look at getting the A6000 (now super cheap) plus a decent prime lens for the same price as the A7 if I were you... no need to go full frame unless you really have to...

My Mrs has the a6000. It's really good to be fair.
But I won't be able to take her's to the TT as she'll be using it etc.
I don't see the point in having 2 a6000's in the house. All I was thinking if I were to upgrade the A7 series is really good.
I think my best option is wait for the a7rii to drop in a few years maybe.

Agreed, the A6000 is a very competent camera and with the A6300 about to be launched in a few months, they will come down further in cost. I have the A6000 with the Sony 50mm f/1.8 and the 70-200 f/4 G OSS and it's a pretty excellent all-rounder.

Just watched some videos on the A6300 and it looks like it could be the one. Kind of like a mini a7r

I had the A6000, then an A7ii and now A7Rii and miss the A6000! For some things like focus accuracy and speed it was way better than the others so if you don't need full frame/huge print size and given the motorcycle racing it could be a good choice (as a cheap second copy and then money on the lens(es)) or if the 6300 is better still I'd bet it will be ace.

Re. the speed needed for motorsport:

"Stills shooters also benefit from the apt processing speed, which enables continuous shooting at 11 fps for up to 21 raw frames in a burst, as well as 14-bit raw file output. Complementing both stills and video, the sensor and processor combination also avails 4D FOCUS, which combines a wide-coverage 425-point phase-detection system with a 169-area contrast detection system for quick and precise focusing performance. This focusing system also enables High-density Tracking AF for more efficient and accurate tracking of moving subjects across the image frame."
