I already have a spare one that I was thinking of selling... hence the search... but might keep it for parts, not sure.

Nikon spares are very highly valued on ebay. Nikon don't sell parts to third parties, so if you are a repair or DIY shop its the only way to get parts.

For a long time I searching for damaged lenses/cameras as I have some repair skills, only to discover the margin is so tight its almost never worth it.

That could be a nice little challenge, this is as far as I went with a D200 to repair a broken metering dial. I don't think I would have liked to have gone further











By the way, the wires linking the top cover to the main body connect to a capacitor......this can cause a loud flash/bang if you don't exercise enough caution


Interesting that they come 'without card reader', so I assume that was the borked item to start with (bent pins?).
