So looking at getting a full frame camera, mainly for landscape photography. I want to stay with Canon because I've always used them, so has anyone used the 6D, I'd rather the 5d for the better auto focus, however, not such an issue for landscape, but would like to get in to sports at a later date.
However, i think the 5d will get replaced in a year or so, and include the new features found on the 6d. But I'm going on holiday to iceland, in september and want the new camera for that. so looking at the 6d and want peoples opinions.

6d is awesome for landscapes but you have to work around its DR limits ( though to be fair you do with any camera). Better high ISO than 5d3. build and ergonomics are good.
AF is ok, centre point is fair in low light, not the fastest overall in terms of fps and operation nor best for tracking.
5d3 does sports well and landscape fine, its not much worse overall than 6d on IQ and substantially better for things that move.
As a landscaper I am more than happy wit the 6d. Check my flickr stream out (tho its a mix of 6d and a7r now).

5d4 should be out sept/oct, 6dmk2 sometime mid/late next year

Had a 6d for over a year and used it for many different roles, great in low light and for what you want will be fine, I since sold it and now have the 5dmk3 which I have found to be an improvement as you would guess but for the money the 6d is a great camera to get you into full frame

Out of Place, Out of Time by Rob Dickinson, on FlickrI love my 6D. It packs a lot of performance into a nice size.
After 3 years I still find the high ISO performance amazing. I don't use noise reduction at all up to ISO 1,600 even when displaying full-size. I've even occasionally (but rarely) used 12,800 at weddings and the shots were salvageable - A4 sized prints looked good. For "snaps" 25,600 is a genuine option.
The WiFi controls are a bit of a faff to set up, but the ability to see photos on a large tablet screen while in the middle of a field is great.

6D is amazing compared to apsc cameras, Excellent VFM. I'm now using mine for birds though had to buy a 800mm lens to help compensate for the 7D mk2s 1.6x factor. I use 3200asa without thinking about it on 6D whereas on a 7D mk2 I try to avoid 400asa unless really necessary. 6D it's a real DSLR Bargain - Buy one you won't regret it

Is the 6D still the same 9 point AF as my original 5D?
I'd like to upgrade to a 5Dmk3, but the 6D makes much more sense financially.
For sports another option is to get a 7D, with the faster AF, I also find that the extra reach of the 1.6x crop is useful for sports.
Why do you want a 5D3 or 6D?I'd like to upgrade to a 5Dmk3, but the 6D makes much more sense financially.

For a great sport camera the 7D2 is pretty much the best without spending 4K ish.

I want the 5d mk4, but it won't be out by the time I go on holiday. So secondhand 6d it is and then I can sell it and get the mk4 when it's released. For a great sport camera the 7D2 is pretty much the best without spending 4K ish.
Actually, sorry, I misread your question. So I started looking at the 7d mk2 because of the auto focus, however I like landscape photography so full frames are better because a 14mm lens is actually a 14mm lens. So to get a full frame and the auto focus a 5d mk3 ticks both boxes. But it's being replaced imminently and looking at the 6d I like the apps and the built in wifi which the mk4 will have.
So 6d for the time being it is. Then I will either buy the 7d mk2 as well, or sell the 6d and get the 5d mk4
Some fantastic photos as well. One day I'll be able to take pictures like that
