Quck question chaps...

Im going to have a look at some different bodies tomorrow.

Would a D7200 be worth buying for 6/8 months until the D500 prices become "affordable", and would it be a worthy upgrade from the D300 ?

Whatever reduction happens (or not) in D500 prices you'll lose on depreciation on the D7200. Just dig deeper, or wait and go straight to the D500.

I'm in a similar position. Currently got a d40x which was a birthday present. So holds some sentimental value.

D7200 is the one I fancy.

Not sure if should just continue to invest in more lenses, but really want something with better low light performance

The 7200 was not much of a step-up from the 7100, the s/h prices of 7100's plummeted when the 7200 and some great bargains can be had on low-actuation specimens.

Are you asking for help with Man-Maths

Or do you want to know if this is the one for you???

If the former, don't forget the...if-I-buy-it-now-and-keep-it-for-X-years...trick.

Justified BOTH a D800 and a Df on that alone ..... !

ah man-maths is excellent, I had the same dilemma as the OP in the last couple of weeks, man maths clearly justified buying both smile

But you'll have to live to be 187...

'Posthumous payback' - now there's an interesting concept!

I got mighty close to acquiring an MBP df whist off work recovering from surgery with noting to do but surf!

Ended up with a Bronica ETRSi instead!

Nowhere near as expensive and a hoot!
