Action cameras

Hi all, I have decided to buy a action camera for when I go out on track and as something more portable and hardier than my dslr, I have looked origionally at the go pro range with the hero 4 standing out to me even over the hero 5 currently. But whilst looking have noticed the nikon range, has anyone experienced the nikons? How do they compare? Or would I be best just going for a gopro? Thanks in advance

Take a look at the action camera reviews posted by TechMoan, link is http://www.techmoan.com/blog/category/action-camer... and he does seem to prefer the Gitup Git 2 camera to the more well known and far more expensive brand.
