Browsers and colour saturation

Just out of interest, Firefox seems to add about 10% saturation to photos, but Safari and IE don't.

What looks good on my calibrated monitor looks fine on Safari and IE, but on Firefox they look over-saturated.

Just thought it might be worth mentioning.

Anyone else noticed this?

Just tried this between Firefox and Internet Explorer on my PC at work, using a photo hosted on Flickr. The photos look identical.

That's weird... I guess it could be Mac version v PC version? or OS v OX? or Firefox v Firefox version.

Too many variables.... but my current setup does over-saturate on Fox.

What colour space are you using?

Most browsers ignore it so if you are using aRGB they will look duller in IE etc, but more saturated in ones that pay attention (firefox).

if you are using sRGB then they should all look the same

These actually looked the same on my work PC, but the left one looks more saturated on my MacBook (also uncalibrated).

Hmmm... sRGB

It doesn't really bother me, just think it's a bit weird.
