Nikon 300mm f2.8

Does anyone have a Nikon 300mm vr afs GED. This is the vri not the vrii. Do you know if parts can still be got for them . I'm looking at one but at 10 years old I'm worried if the focus motor fails I'll be left with a manual lens?
