You can certainly get traditional style photo albums with black pages like these. The same site sells the traditional photo corners for mounting.

As these are "wedding" albums, they aren't cheap!

Another supplier - looks like all their various albums are available with black pages.

Regarding the pen - something like this white permanent marker may be what you are looking for?

Thanks. I have been tasked with scanning the photos. Think ill just be careful and put them back in the old album.

As for the pen I think its called a chalk pen.
