After lining myself up to buy a V8S, I just by chance spotted an ad on pistonheads for an S3 local to me in Essex. Thinking it would be a good opportunity to see first hand what an S3 was like I went to see it on Sunday. I'm sure like many of you did with yours, I fell in love with it at first sight. Rob, a TVRCC member took me for a long spin and I could tell immediately that he loved the car and it had been very well cared for. Needless to say by the time I got home I knew it was the one for me. Now I am the very happy owner of an S3 in BRG. I even managed to get lost on the way back from picking it up cause i was so enjoying the ride i wasn't taking any notice of where i was going!! - All I need to do now is get rid of this stupid nickname!!!! Any ideas???? And if so how do I do it (I've tried to re-register but can't do using same e-mail address)

you need to email Ted to get your name changed now.

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the S forum

As for a nickname how about ChipS Speed ... I was going to suggest ChipS Away but then you might get too many body repair requests

nice one Ian.

If you're Essex based, then you should come along to the Mid-Essex TVRCC meet... second Sunday of the month. Feel free to drop me a line via my profile if you want more details.

Gutted i can't make 15th August as i'm on holiday. (Unless i can slip out of the hotel in Spain without the family knowing!!) Still I will certainly try and make the mid-Essex meet (babysitter permitting) as Im sure most of you guys will recognise the car. Here it is on the tvrsseries.com www.tvrsseries.com/assortedv6/h65.JPG

I will definitely come along to one of the meets at the Forresters. The previous owner was a TVRCC member and attended the mid-Essex meets so pic probably taken then. It's also on the front page of the tvrsseries website. Famous huh!

Well done mate!

I looked at about half a dozen S's but I ended up buying the first one I looked at. S3 in cooper green.
Loved every minute of it ever since.

Wellcombe to the fold.

Look forward to meeting up sometime and talking TVR b*ll*ocks non stop.

Enjoy!!!

Pookie. :

Thanks c14ppy. If you keep the car, i might well be back...assuming of course i can ever bear to be parted from the S3.

The previous owner's name is Rob and he does do the model cars. Very nice guy. He is in the process of making an S3 model (based on my very motor) which will go into production soon...so get your orders in guys!!! His web page is www.autosportmodels.com
