I have always suffered from this TADTS annoyance.

Just had engine & gearbox mountings replaced - the buzzing has gone !!

Does this add anything to the likely theories on why it happens?

I'm not sure there is an exact science to this as mine has stopped buzzing (@ 3,500 rpm) without any changes at all!

I have just remembered that mine was buzzing for a while but doesn't now!

(I'd forgotten about it!)

Class!
I got my friendly TVR specialist to sort the buzzing gearstick some time ago. Not quite sure what he'd done, but he managed to almost get rid of it. Then one day, after I had given her a wash it was back worse than ever... Go figure!
These cars do have a mind of their own.
I'll get it looked at again soon, so your advise may provide a clue to where the solution to this annoying problem lies. Thanks for sharing!

Huum, must be the nutural oscillating frequency of the stick, probably being excited by the vibrations coming from an inadequately damped box.
