Went Back home today!
Discussion
Yes I was there outside the factory in Blackpool today and saw 10 S series outside the front.
Pictures taken of all the following...
H5 MTB, H967HLK, K168DCF, G371CPL, K68WPM, H331FLA, A6ABG, F716NPC, TVR623S, H677ECW.
All cars looked in good condition throughout.
Well now down to the event itself!
I was only there on the sunday and found the usual attitude from TVR, no tea for anyone who made the effort to drive 230 miles and was not booked in for the tour. A van outside serving refreshments would have been nice. Any chance that the stores might be open on this momentous second day were dashed with the reply, Oh we never thought of that! perhaps that might be a good idea for next year mate.
To be honest, i did'nt expect either so i was not disappionted, but it would have made the day.
The armed guard at the gate, (two people with a list of names for the tour) were not going to let anyone in and the price of the goods in the shop, well I recken £25 for a TVR baseball cap is a bit steep!
I think I bagged one of the only bargains that were left on the counter by luck. on me way out of the shop i heard someone say, that jacket should have been £125 and was a gift for £35 (very nice black TVR Climate delux, breathable) back I went and spent all my pocket money on it.
Anyway, looking forward to chattsworth now, when you see all these cars it gets you going again and I'll be back in the garage tomorrow on me S which is coming along well now , but alas, not in time for Chatts.
All the best.
gadgit.

I came over today just for the cavacade down the Golden Mile - first time for me. Great to see so many TVR's but what a shambles - waited about an hour to get going expecting some kind of police escort or maybe traffic to be stopped for us - maybe I expect too much - ended up mixed up with all the other traffic after about 5 minutes, nearly wiped out crossing a busy juction where the traffic lights were out ( no plod presence ) and only just found my way to the hotel after catching up a couple of other TVRs.
Although I am told the rest of the weekend was okay, I was a bit dissapointed with it myself

Sorry Silver500Chimp, but I think we were all stumped because the police presence was diverted to something higher priority (certainly there were a few cars on shouts as we drove around). I don't think our organisers could have done any better for us under the circumstances. We had fun just being there.
