Well im sure ill still frequent there as there's no chance im gonna sell my mini but today I went and paid a deposit (so no other bugger can buy it
) on a S3C!!!! Fantastic
Crazy thing is (and it is very crazy) I was all set in the head to buy a westy on monday but seeing this beautiful s3 in piston's classifieds and a check with a couple of insurance companies....... bugger me i can afford it!
Car's a real gooden except for a couple of bits.
That rubbish plastic steering bushy thing isnt steel and there is some small play, and the passenger (yes the passenger) lecy window struggles to go back up because it lifts at the front end but not the rear.
Im not one to fix boring things but will probably fix the window myself but can someone give me a rough idea of cost for the steering?

Hi Dave and welcome,i saw that one the other day and thought it looked
I assume your talking about the bulkhead bearing,if so budget £20-25 for the bearing and half to one hour labour to fit,not technically difficult but fiddly
Now you have an "S" dont forget "S" club meet at silverstone 15th Aug

Excellent, looks like there is nothing on it that wont be much trouble to sort.
Will get a better idea of the state when we take it for a proper test on Thursday.
Funny I think I'm at Oulton Park driving my dads griff 500 that weekend but will check because it would be great to get your opinions on it.
Not surprised you haven't seen it about podie, its done two thousand miles in the last two years!
Not the best way to treat them I know but no smoke at all on a cold start.
Don't worry ill be bugging you soon on msn for a meet up and comparison

Bloody hell, 2k...? Is that all the miles it's done...?!?
Right, get it out there...
Always the bloody way, All set for the test drive today when computers decide they want my company for another four hours!!
Worst thing I ever did was learn how to use and fix bloody computers!!!
Don't really mind as all arranged for tomorrow now.
Only place I really want to drive it is the longest route home just hope my bank is super efficient this week so I can get it for the weekend!
And its gonna be a glorious sounding convoy too!
This car is in for a shock after its quite low mileage life so far!
