S Meet convoy - North

WildfireS3, are you coming down from Newcastle on the Sunday, I think you are the furthest north! We could meet A1 @ Wetherby, continue down A1/M1 and meet the West Yorkshire guys (Roy_S2, Chris Chat etc). Stoping at Trowell, Leicester Forest East and Rothersthorpe (just before A43). Is there a Little Chef just outside Towcester where we can all meet for a mass assault on Silverstone?. Timing needs some thought. Any replies suggestions welcome.

Not sure yet, I may come down on the Friday night and stay with the parents. Will let you know. The car is still a bit poorly.

If you guys are coming down the A1M could meet at Ferrybridge, that would give me at least an extra 30 miles to enjoy, weather permitting!

What time are you anticipating being at Leicester Forest East. Hopefully several of us will be coming down from Lincoln area and will meet you there.

It all depends on what time everyone wants to be at Silverstone, is it about 10am? if so I would expect to be at Leicester Forest about 9am, Ferrybribge at about 8.15am. Sound good?

Should be.. Only slight problem is that the car may be going to the garage any minute to get a new front end fitted. Hopefully, that won't be on Saturday morning leaving me carless for the weekend..

okies so where's the nearest meeting point to chesterfield then? .. i saw tibshelf mentioned, but looks like the nearest proper meet point will be leicester forest .. i could always sit on the roundabout above junction 29 and wait for you guys going underneath, then zoom down the sliproad to join you? lol

LFE sounds OK for me and No.2 son - we're across from Lichfield so not too far out of way and back roads from Tamworth are good from memory - see you there at 9.45
