S-meet convoy passing Luton ?

I am going over to pick up a friend in Luton (close to junction 11 M1) on the way to Silverstone, and I would like to join up with a convoy if anyone is passing by. Prefer not on the M1, A roads are nicer

Us Cambridgeshire lot could meet you in Bedford, can you think of anywhere to meet?

A trip via Bedford may be an option, I'll check out a route. If not then I will be heading straight up the A5.
