Loose wing mirrors

The wing mirrors on my S2 are wobbly (I think this is the technical term); it's not the mirrors themselves but the boss that is fibre glassed into the door skin. I was thinking of putting a filet of P38 around boss behind rubber gator. Has anybody tried this or had a similar problem, any advise much appreciated.

Your best bet is to take the mirror off first and make sure that it is not part of the mirror casings that are loose, before you go applying filler etc.

I'm not too familiar with the S2 mirrors, but the V8S/S3 style mirrors often come loose else where other than the door.
