Replacement springs?
Discussion
No the Ford springs won't do as the weight of the car is one of the factors in selecting a spring. The originals were specific to the S and I don't believe are available anymore.
Go to one of the TVR specialists they will be able to get suitable ones.
Search on the forum there have been many discussions on springs along with the damper discussions.

Thanks for the info guys.
In case I source from elsewhere, does anybody know the rates/poundage I should use?
Edited to say: If it makes any difference (sorry, totally ignorant on this subject) I'm putting on adjustable Avos for replacement shocks.

As Bugsy said why not just buy some from a specialist or dealer. These are not expensive in the overall scheme of things and we all want specialists around for help and advice but want to save a few pence by buying elsewhere. When all the specialists have gone bust and you really need something important you will be moaning there is nobody to help.
Consider someone tells you on here the spec of the springs and you buy them from Joe Bloggs Springs because they are a pound cheaper and they turn out to be wrong, Joe is going to say "well thats what you asked for" and you will then have to buy some more.
In France we always try to buy from our local shops, this way we support our local community. The TVR world is your local community and there are plenty of specialists who give advice freely in these forums but to save a few pounds.
These forums are a useful tool for exchange of information but dont you find if you ask 10 people for their opinion on spring rates you get 10 different answers

Contact Austec... they will know exactly what you require in terms of springs and dampers.
However not sure if the springs are dependant on your damper type ???????????
I am going to get adj Avo dampers and springs from Austec, might get them to fit them or get local grease monkey to fit them
