You may remember i posted a thread entitled "Thinking about an S3 for a new car!" Based ont he feedback there I am commited to the cause now and going to buy one.

I signed up with TVRCC and got my copy of sprint, in the back was an ad for Rob Ingleby. I'm sure many of you already know this but Rob provides a service where he will find you the car you want to check it out for you and provide a full report. Have any of you use his services and would care to provide a referance.

I think i'm going to use him anyway, but i'd be intestrested in see if he has found any of you your cars and how the whole process worked.

Thanks All

Simon

Heard good things about him, but not used him myself. Might be worth dropping a line to Jame Agger, (Jamer) as although he tends to deal with newer TVRs, he may well know of someone thats trading up..

Hi, I used Rob in July to purchase a 400SE and cannot fault him. He was able to get to inspect the vehicle very quickly and did a very thorough job in terms of inspecting and reporting on the vehicle he also carried out a full HPI check on the vehicle and gave it a good road test.
So far the few little faults that he noted on his report are the only ones that have come to light after a thorough 6000 mile service and a proper all round inspection on the ramps, and daily driving.
On top of doing a very good job he is also a very nice bloke and loves his TVR`s and has owned most models.
For the peace of mind I believe Robs fee`s are worth every penny and have no hesitation in recommending him.

I have recently spoken to Rob over the phone. He's very helpful and knowledgeable. Although on that occasion I did not go ahead and engage his services he was kind enough to give me some free tips. When I'm ready to trade up my S2 I will definitely be giving him a call.

pay a bit extra and get a V8S--better built,better handling,more grunt,more sound--you should get a good
example for about 10k--oh,I nearly forgot, easy to upgrade--for a modest budget upgrade start with a Tim Lamont Induction System plus a fast road cam plus an Austec Racing RR remap--should give you about 260bhp and buckets of torque. Good luck with your search!

I used Rob last year to buy my S3. A excellent service and worth every penny. Saved me lots of time and got me a great car.

We asked Rob to look for an S for us when we were considering an S2 or S3. We ended up with a good V8S! Would thoroughly recommend him to help you find the right car (rather than the one you first thought of ...)

I used Rob also when buying my V8S.

He'll do an inspection only on a car you have sourced, or for a bit more dosh will find a car to your specific requirements.

The level of detail in his report was just what I needed to give me the confidence to buy the car. Including a full HPi check and a valuation.

Highly recommended, especially if you're new to TVR's.

Big thumbs up from me too.

Used Rob to inspect my S2 last year. And used him again to inspect some V8s. Rob saved me some money of one of the V8s as it had probs, which I might not have picked up (None of the cars here BTW, private ad). And He inspected K400's for me after Roger got in touch with me, and as you may know from the other thread, I've just picked it up.

I've also heard many good things from people in our region, although again I've not used him myself.

If you go for his finder service you can almost get his services for free as he's rather good at bargaining down prices from what I've heard.
