Anyone want a set of OZ V8S alloys ?
Discussion
I am contemplating selling my wheels and buying others, possibly the Chim alloys fitted to the later V8S cars! Just wondered if anyone here would be interested and if so what would the price be for 4 good wheels (a few bits flaking but nothing major) and 4 very good Bridgstone RE71 tyres???
Cheers

Split rims or mag slots ?
My split rims multi spokes are looking a tadd tired and I could do with at least a pair.
Could surely get four good un's out of two sets.
I have looked around but all new rims available are a bit too "chav". Mike at Austec is going to have some rims at the open day on Sunday, but if yours are like mine I'm interested if price is sensible.

Kev thats far too cheap..........you gave them away if they were in excellent condition with good tyres?? I sold two 205/60/15 tyres (not a good brand) on Ebay for £65

I advertised them for about 5 weeks and dropped the price too, I guess nobody wanted any at the time? I just thought I must have been asking too much originally (£225 IIRC).
I wasn't aware of PH back then!

Just had a quick look on the PH classifieds and a month or so ago a set of OZ 8 spoke wheels, no tyres, sold for £340 and were not in perfect condition. The ad said could benefit with a refurb! Also a set of only 3 wheels without tyres sold for £250, the power of Pistonheads......! Seems £300-£350 may be the going rate at the moment! Still cheaper than Bell Hill garage who sell them for £400 per wheel

c'est la vie!
Sorry Kev, wasnt meaning to rub it in or anything....! Just trying to investigate what is a good price at the mo, as I think I will sell them! I prefer the OZ wheels when they are polished ala original, but mine have been refurbed and IMHO dont look as good! And after speaking to people that have had them refurbed back to the diamond cut finish I dont want to go down the 'having them done once a year' route to keep them looking good!

That's OK Mike, I realised a while ago (after joining PH) that I could have got a lot more for them (after seeing the Bell Hill prices)
Mine were diamond cut and black finish, I now think they made the car look ....older! IMHO, many other styles of wheels suit the S more than the originals.
Don't get me wrong, the OZ wheels still look nice but I think we are now seeing more variety on the S and they seem to look nice with multi spoke racing style wheels in 17". The Chim style (later S) wheels IMHO also look good as they suit the body shape very well. I actually think they look nicer on the S than they do on the Chim.
Hi Guys,
We had 3 non-refurished OZ 8 spokes with good tyres (Michelin pilots) and two refurbished 8 spokes without tyres. They all sold within two months at £85 per non-refurbed rim and £120 per refurbed rim. They were sold in ones and twos.Last one sold on Saturday. No Probs.
Best of luck selling yours. You will get more selling them individually rather than as a set......and then Paul(Oldred)can have one!
Kevin and Emma (now with the S at home!!!)
