Following the footsteps of Mel, Podie and others, I have now sold my dear old S3 to a good home in Kent to a chap called Ron, who I hope will join us on the forum and I'm sure will be made to feel as welcome as I have.

As you can see from the slight name change, I haven't deserted the marque, but stepped up to a 4.0HC Chimaera. Of course I will continue to lurk on the S forum, as it feels like home!

I shall really miss the S, but my V8 addiction was getting out of hand until I succumbed to its aural pleasures

Take care and keep it shiny side up,
Kieran

Don't forget that somebody buys the S's and hopefully like me, gets the TVR/PH bug and learns a bit and then passes it all on to the next ones.

Quite right Bugsy. I have enjoyed every minute of owning the S, and already it is showing its reliablility compared to the Chimaera (which I still believe is a good one - more of a testament to the S!)

I learnt alot with the S, and I do spend far too much time on PH! If I could have kept both, I would have, but I haven't paid for the 'golf cart' yet (Pies you cheeky s0d) and something had to give.

The S was meant as a stop-gap, coz I always wanted a Chimaera, however it became so much more, and will always have a place in my heart I bought this particular Chimaera as I thought it was too good to miss - had intended to wait another year.

I will certainly continue to rave about the S at every opportunity, and will always recommend it as an introduction to TVRs to all who ask. I cannot think of an easier way in for value and reliability, and with all the thrills of the bigger TVRs. The 2 missing cylinders are more than made up for in other ways.

Right, enough, or I'll start blubbing.......

Certainly are, had my final drive of her yesterday and I must say I was misty eyed when I closed the garage door on her.

I keep getting ideas of getting another in a few years to compiment a Cerbera, but somehow I can't see it happening

Don't worry Pies, we'll all be around to keep you company still!

That's fair enough, Kieran has had a chance to enjoy the car and now it is time to let somebody else have a turn. Share the wealth!

Thanks Peter

Also as you suggested in earlier post, I did throw in the S bible as a goodwill gesture (after the deal- so completely selfless!!).
