Anyone know where i can get my hands on a pair of light grey leather seats for my s1? The ones in my car are plastic and half material.
or any idea of the cost to recover them in leather?
Might be a little off, but I think V8Smith said you're looking at around £700 for a half trim, and maybe around £1000 for full trim. Going by his pics, its definitely worth it if your seats are in bad shape and you are willing to pay the price.
His interior (seen the full set of before and after pics) looks absolutely stunning, and made a very big difference in my opinion. Pricy, but an all new leather interior will make the car look so much nicer.
I know it's not for the purist but I've looked into putting some old MX5 seats in mine. You can then strip them and get brand new leather covers/trim for them from Moss cheaper than it costs you to get them recovered from scratch. The previous owner has put some strange bucket seats in mine which means you either have to have the roof off to get in or have the flexibility of an olympic gymnast ! They are also vinyl which means you are the sweatiest man in the world after about 30secs of sitting it them !
I would go and get some quotes from retrimmers, I found some cheaper than others but overall the cost of two seats should not be more than £500. If you want just new facings and leave the vinyl sides alot cheaper. I had four seats for a Scimitar done leather fronts and new vinyl sides for £600. Nic
Moss Europe do them but I'm sure I've seen them much cheaper.

I think the owners club also do them. I've got no idea how easy they are to fit or even that the seats fit the TVR for definite, but initial measurements suggest they do. My local trim shop had a TR6 parked outside of it with MX5 seats and it looked nice and the owner of the trim shop told me that buying the trim kits are cheeper because they are mass produced.

I'd post an ad on the parts/wanted section of pistonheads.
I did for a set of navy blue leather seats (ex chim/grif) for my S3, over the 2 weeks after that, I got contacted by a number of people with seats for sale...amazing how many have seats etc in garages!
I paid 220£ for a pair of chim seats in EXACTLY the right colour which so far have not collapsed under my lardy ar$e.
Fitting replacement seats is a doddle, even I managed it!
