.. well I got the battery sorted

....I've got new gaiters for the steering rack

..... I've got new Gaz dampers and springs for the car

and what happens after 3hrs of hooning about today I loose nearly all power.

I have played with the HT leads and come to the conclusion not firing on all cylinders.

So new HT Leads, Distributer Cap and rotar arm I guess, and probably plugs as well.
If aint thany of these what could it be :scratchhead:

The first step should always be to work out whether it is a fuel problem or an ignition problem.

if its the electrics try the chock block connector underneath the steering column. Well known for melting and I understand they came from a ford trannie van which was recalled because of them catching fire. You will feel if its getting hot and just check it for any signs of melting. Mine suddenly melted and left me with no power at 70 mph on a country lane. Not great at about 11.30pm.

I thought my leads had to be fine as they looked almost new but after everyone said fit a new quality set I did and peformance was much improved.

Magnecor leads available from ACT
And a £23 cerbera 4.2 TP makes a lot of difference.

Aghhhh TP... surprised no one else mentioned this.... Been reading the Bible and it seems to point towards the TP... I will order one anyway... that way I should have all my bases covered for Saturday morning.
