V8S Ownership report
Discussion
Not sure if I posted in the S forum before, but as it is coming up to 6 months since I bought my V8S, I thought it would be good to give some general thoughts on the ownership experience.
So, the V8S is the 4th TVR that I currently own and I bought it back in the early part of the year from Amore and have been using it as my daily driver since April. It is a 1991 car in juniper green and a cream interior with green carpets. I must say of all the TVRs I have owned, I find it the most usable. It is a very comfortable car to drive and works well over both short and long distances.
I typically use it for short local drives or long (2-3 hrs) motorway drives. In both cases, it works extremely well. It is both comfortable to drive and handles very nicely on country lanes. The speed and torque are good for the UK and unlike the Sagaris, I find the gearbox very easy to use. It is not as fast as some of the TVRs I have, but for UK roads - especially country lanes - works very well.
I have had a few niggles with it - like the locks being stuck and the fuel sender unit giving very weird readings sometimes, but will sort those out in time.
So, yes, the TVR S is a very impressive car!
