Is it a Peninsula exhaust? I'd be tempted but I presume it's quite loud (thinking of track days)?

Ted - Simon is away from PH this week.

However, IIRC its simple old fashionned cherry bomb style exhaust. The pipes have little or no upwards turn on them at the end and finish a few inches short of the standard ones.

It does sound pretty incredible when following him! It does sound like a spitfire taking off!

However, I think it is fair to say track days are not going to happen without silencers.

I've got a vague recollection that it was "Blue line" or "Blue laser" or something... not a name I'd heard of.. but it is pretty much a straight through system...

it's the lovely Rude Girl's old Chimaera in front too. Sure does sound great, makes my V8S sound very effeminate indeed .. must sort that at some point!!!
the exhaust is a full twin stainless jobbie, it's an S3C decatted, the exhaust has two cheery bomb style (ahem) "silencers" (!) in each pipe but obviously they don't have much effect ...

The penninsula system is more in the bassy V8 stylee than top fuel dragster ;-)

I understand that V8s sound much rortier if you just chop the silencer out all together and weld straight pipes in instead - have you ever tried that

mine is completely std exhaust wise so far .. think the rude one might be referring to her own xtra loud 5 litre griff ...

IIRC the company that made it was Blue Flame. Its a custom job, Joolz has the spec bang on. While I think, thanks for the service - don't know what you did, but definately a bit more umph now

If anyone wants a similar system making up, happy to help. Guess pictures of the system and how its routed would give anyone making the system up a head start on it, (not that I have any, but easily arranged). Gather it was a bit of a job to do so this should help..

Will be at Back Home and hopefully PistonFest if anyone wants a demo..

Edited to add: Rude's Griff is definately worth a listen too.. Very nice. think we need a clip of the two together

Expect Joolz will have a similar sounding beast fairly soon too..
