Just a few quick questions

1) Any pictures?
2) Where you get it from?
3) How much did you pay?
4) Piss easy to fit?

Thanks, Sean.

Do you really want the bits sticking into you in the event of an accident?

Okay just changed my user name from Taylordo to Dougs as there appears to be another Taylord - spooky!

Anyway, i've changed mine for a leather Momo course wheel (to match the momo course alloy gearnob) as the wooden one looked great but was a bit slippy on the hands, not good if caught unawares, rubbish for track days according to the 'bible' and like the last point not good if involved in an accident.

The momo wheel looks the part but needs a replacement boss (ford fiesta, escort or something) to fit as the momo and peronal wheels have differing boltholes (however the Halfords guy said they would be a straight swap - not the case) Only issue now is the steering wheel sits miles from the plastic collar behind the boss leaving an unsightly gap. just needs a bit of genius to solve i'm sure - i'll wait for it to come along!!!

What kind of wheel do you have at the moment

I had a wood personal wheel on my S3 when i bought it
I found it was slippy and, with no give in it the suspension felt even harder. It looked the part of a classic english sportscar and if it were a weekend toy only i may have stuck with it. However, my car is used daily.

I went down the momo route and basically came to a dead end despite numerous postings on PH I could not find out what the appropriate boss should be. I too thought escort/sierra etc but was told this was unlikely. I spoke with TVR, I spoke with personal, I spoke to every bstard possible over 6 months and failed.

In the end I was lucky enough to source a straight replacement personal leather wheel from a fellow PH'er. It then bolted straight on to the existing boss so no issues re gaps etc. I am now a happy bunny.

Oh, if you fancy buying my wood wheel, dont hesitate to contact me. They are great, honest

My S3c came with a wooden steering wheel (3 spoke "Personal" one - might be a pic in my profile?!?), and although I've tried a leather one, I've actually gone back to the wooden one!

They're less forgiving and certainly let you feel EVERY bump in the road!!! - a crips packet feels like a six inch pothole...!

Then again, the S isn't my daily driver, so I don't mind it being a bit harsher...!
