Thinking of swapping my Oz's for a set of chimaera 15".How much would I get for the OZ's which are in good cond with only a bit of pitting round the TVR badge? Any ideas Where can I get the chimp wheels for a good price. I was hoping the OZ's would bring in more than what the chimp wheels cost due to their rarity.

Don't know how much you'd get for the Oz wheels but the 15" chim wheels are getting harder to find, apparently.

i did think about doing this but decided against it as I felt it would lower the price of the car if anything at resale.

I would expect a set to be worth in the region of £250 - £300 without tyres. But, as usual, its only worth what people are prepared to pay. I wouldnt imagine too many people would "upgrade" there old wheels for the OZ 8 spokes. If you could afford to do it, you may find you would make more money buy selling one at a time! People will often pay £100+ for one wheel if they have bent just one to avoid having to buy a whole new set.

Very cunning plan that shnozz, keep the wheels and sell to those in need ;D. Considered doing that with my chim 15" whilst changing over to chim 16" all round myself, good plan but I think I'll wait to the tyres need changing first .

Thanks for the feedback. I like the idea of selling one at a time for more money as I am exceptionally tight!!! Good plan. All I need to find are two smashed up chimps that have been rear or side damaged so I can have the front wheels. I can then start advertising my wheels.

As a rule of thumb, odd numbers of spokes look more kinetic than even numbers as they are not visually 'balanced' and so give a subconscious feeling of movement. I'd always go for odds over evens... Do whatever it takes to grab 'em.

I have Chim 15" wheels all round, and want to swap the back ones for 16". Is anyone running 16's at the rear and 15's at the front? Looks like it will fill the arches a bit better and also would mean a wider tyre for better handling / traction?

I am in search though for the elusive 16" Chim wheels - any ideas where to get them???

Cheers

Doug, the 16" Chim wheels will not fit your S2 without changing the rear trailing arms to V8S ones and fitting Discs (I have rear discs on my S2 and they still do not fit with the standard arms)
