Having looked around the Internet for switches and dashboards etc I've come to a decision.
I'll make the darn things myself.
The dash on my S3 was veneer but it's peeling and bubbling now and I'm not a lover of wood in cars...(call me bizarre) but I'm just not keen.
So I have ordered 6ft x 1 ft of Black leather from Neumann Leathers www.neumannleathers.com
John the salesman was very helpfull and sold me an offcut of Black leather used specificly for car upolstery for £18.00 inc p&p
Now I just need the same amount of 3/8 thick foam for padding, evo-stick and a piece of ally plate for the heater controls facia and I should have the job done this weekend.
The upolstory is grey with black piping but the dash top is black and so are the carpets so I think it should match up.
Next up is the center switch console and that is going to be polished alluminium to match my new polished ally Momo gearknob and also the Ally Clock surrounds.
The door strips will need stripping and polishing and then I hope to do get the Leven Handbrake and maybe even the Indicator stalks.
The only problem I have really encountered though is the switches. I'll not be paying £70.00 for switches as thatr sound like a rip off, instead I'll get on my fathers lathe and turn up some ally knobs to fit on some 3-way leccy switches I can get off the web. Then it's off to the buffing wheel to make them nice and shiny.
I'll also take a look at the control stalks and see if I can fabricate something for them as well.
I would far prefer to make the interior my own and I should be able to do it for alot cheaper than if I paid a company to do it, however I may make a complete pigs ear of the job and then have to send it off anyway but if I do it will only have cost me £18.00 and a couple of pieces of ally.
Just 1 question though, the seats need restuffing (I'm sitting a bit low) and thats one thing I'm not 100% sure about, is it easy to do or does that require a professional "stuffer"

I THINK Johno had the seats in his S restuffed before he sold it... might be worth trawling the archives...

Thats the dash recovered, took 2 1/2 hours to get out damn thing was held on by the top part with 4 screws and captive nuts....3 of which had gained freedom! Managed to get the screws out with no damage though, rest was easy even the recovering, phot's to follow once developed. Only mistake was forgetting to label 2 of the wires which of course I mixed up and managed to blow the fuel pump fuse. Sorted now though.
Tomorrow I'll finish fitting and then start on the centre console switch plate and door trims ( stripping and polishing.

Everything is back in position and it now looks very nice.
Unfortunatley I had to recover the center console switch panel in black leather as I didn't have the time or tools to make the aluminium version.
I'll be pooping up to my parents soon so I can get stuck into his workshop and also turn up the switches at the same time.
Now I just need to sort the seats out and replace some of the nuts and bolts for new nice and shiny examples.
I did notice that I need to adjust the bonnet fixing as it seems to be 2 mm out on the drivers side thus leaving a gap of 5 mm.
Just 1 question. How much did they pay the guy at TVR who went around the cars in order to find impossible positions to place bolts and screws???? Probably not enough as the guy must have been a master.
To work on these machines you need to be a double jointed chimp with glassfibre proof skin and tiny hands.
Top tip that I have seen on these pages before.....replace any difficult to reach nuts (non-vital) with wing nuts....e.g the bolts that hold the door cards on (near the ashtray).
