Overfuelling...

Fuelling is controlled by the ECU, using inputs from Air flow meters, throttle position sensor, temp sensor, road speed, etc.
AFM's would be my first suspect - could he not wind them out to lean it up and then try?
Actually, fuel pressure reg may be first check, what is rail pressure, should be 45 psi (3 bar) max.
Then check throttle pot - about 45 quid for a new one from Ford.
There is not really enough info there to work on - mail me with details - or get a ford technician to look at the car - all the engine and associated components are Ford.
