Contemplating replacing the crankshaft front oil seal on my S2. Reviewing Haynes and it is unclear whether you have to remove the pulley then the vibration damper as 2 separate pieces or whether you can remove it all as a single piece on the single bolt into the shaft. If anyone has got the T-shirt on this one and can give me some guidance I'd be grateful.

Chris,
Have you checked in Chapter 13 Supplement: Revisions and info on later models, page 399 of the Granada/Scorpio manual it seems to show them as being a single unit, you will need a puller to pick up two of the diametrically opposed of the four bolts on the centre section with the puller centre bolt on the crankshaft nose.
Hope this helps,
Ray

Thanks for that Ray. I have the Sierra V6 Haynes which again only deals with the 2.9 in the supplement at the back so not as much detail as other chapters. I'll be looking to have a go at it in the next couple of weeks.
Chris.
