Interior door lock handles for S2

Does anyone know what vehicle these come from? I have the chrome pull-out handle with black plastic surround. A friend thought they may be early Granada but wasn't sure.
I managed to yank the passenger one a bit too hard and the wire/spring seems to have half popped out with the result that i can only open the door from the outside using a key.
Is it a simple repair job or new handle mechanism? for someone who is 'spannerly challenged'.

You should find these are from a Mk 2 Capri.

They are from some old VW or Audi not sure which but the new Beetle has the same chrome part!
