My S1 is (according to the book) oceanic blue and I'd like to buy about a litre of paint to blow in a couple of scratches.

Anybody know the best place to get paint from?

i got some paint from my local motor factor, about 750 mils in the tin.they sent away to a spray match place as it was a toyota colour not usually off the shelf. think it was about £14 for the tin and as lasted for ages as it gets thinned to go in my airbrush
cheers.

I don't have spray gun at the moment and I only have a small area to do. A can would do it.
Don't suppose anyone knows if 'Oceanic Blue' was used by any mainstream car manufacturer?

Hi
I needed some for my S2 (Azure Blue) and called Jason Webb at tvrbodyshop (01275 858461).

He was able to send me a small pot for about 12 quid, and it's a perfect match.

Don't forget your modern paint supplier will put it in a can for a tenner! A panal size at that.

How tricky is it to get a good finish? I've a few stone chips to remove, plus the bottom of the bonnet in its time has been scraped along high kerbs etc and partched with glass fibre badly. I wouldn't mind trying to get the spider on the bonnet out too, but think thats a longer job..

Touching up with isopon (err, I think) and preparing to paint won't take too long over a few days, but I've never sprayed onto anything other than metal so don't know if its any different to what I'm used to..
