I have been trying to find out if its possible to get an aluminium gear lever for my S2, the round ball type from the Chim!! I have seen them on S cars, LeeBee has one, but I have been told its not possible because the threads are different!

Anybody know where they can be bought or how this can be done???

Thanks guys I have sourced one now, a mate has a spare one and if it doesnt fit a machinist near me will make one for me! I am also getting a price for all the other alloy bits including stalks, bezels etc!

Oooohh.. More shiny bits.. We've been trying to sort stalks and switches for a while..

Just had my bezels done by speedy cables and a good job was done I must say..

I suspect not.. The instruments needed to come out and were sent off to Speedy Cables to do. IIRC the whole end to end job took 10 days, (as the dash was out anyway, the car wasn't goping anywhere). Definately lightens up the interior of the car..

Whole thing including carriage both ways was of the order of £90..

Well these will be available shortly as these are being made in the same design as my air vent bezel (my machinist has just had a baby girl though so will be delayed a bit!) these will be a alloy ring that will slide over the top of the original bezel. My gear knob is a Momo, I can make adaptors to fit any gearknob so not a problem

Cheers

I spoke with a machinist yesterday and he is pricing up the bezels, air vents etc and these will all be clip over aluminium without the need to take out the parts. He sounds like he will be reasonable as he quoted me only £15-£20 for an aluminium gear knob (any design) with the correct thread or grub screws whatever I want! Anybody that would like to know prices etc e-mail me and when I have them I will send them to you. The machinist is just around the corner from me and once I have my parts I will report on the job he has done! He can do the stalks but I will have to move the screen wash to a seperate button which shouldnt be difficult!!

Never thought of them, cheers, will ask him!! Although from the prices I have got already I would expect them to be around £25 each as thats the cost of the stereo surround which is a similar size/shape!
