I am thinking of painting the underneath of the bonnet and just wondered if anybody could recommend a particular type of paint for use on the back of fibreglass. Also is there an adhesion issue and do I need a specific primer. Aiming for a glossy black finish as I saw a quite nice one at "Mania".

I think Re-Paint Coach Enamel (Jenolite) is suitable for glassfibre as well as metal. Comes in gloss black and can be painted on. Plan to do mine when I get round to it, but not enough time at moment.

Halfords sell it.

Thanks LordB and pardon my ignorance but what is stonechip paint I am not really aiming for concours as I intend using the car a reasonable amount but it sounds interesting.

Just done a search for Stonechip paint and I am now totally enlightened (and embarrased!!). Looks like the ideal solution thanks.
