I managed to drive up the back of a nice lady who stopped in the middle of an intersection for no reason at all.

What I need help with is repairing the car. The bonnet is off and badly damaged, the radiator is history and the front of the chassis is not great. Has anyone any experience of having this sort of thing repaired and are you able to make any recommendations on good repairers. I live in West London, so the closer the better!

Many thanks for any thoughts.

John -

Very sorry to hear about this. Obviously a lot of people use Tower View round the North Circular but I also use G&M Auto's a TVR specialist based in one of the railway arches at Stamford Brook tube. John (the mechanic there) is excellent - he charges similar prices to Tower View so he's not that cheap - but you get a good job. Under the same set of railway arches are some guys who can do the respray as well who aren't at all bad.

G&M's number is 0208 748 6146

Hope this helps,

WG

Oh - should also mention - even if John can't do it - he's usually knows someone good who can. Good Luck.

Danny,

Thanks for the thoughts. I am not far from Stanford Brook, so will see what he has to say!

I think I have seen you going down Popes Lane a couple of times in the morning? If it was you, your car looks good and sounds great! Keep an eye open for me (Black S3).

Yeah that's me - glad you like the car, thankyou very much. I've seen a Dark Blue S a couple of times around the Chiswick / Ealing area as well - but haven't spotted your black one. Will keep my eyes peeled when you're back on the road.

Hope it goes well, would be interested to know how it works out,

Danny

John,

I can second Wonky on G&M, they looked after my car for the previous owner and did a sterling job over the years, alas I'm based the other side of London..

They were even good enough to photocopy and post over a complete history of invoices for me, providing me with some that had been lost. Very polite and accomodating.

Sorry about the crash John...

What model is yours? I have a very lightly damaged s1/s2 bonnet which I could let you have (either repaired or as is) for considerably less than a new one. Let me know...
