CARBON MONOXIDE - you can't SEE it, SMELL it or TASTE it but apparently its one of the biggest environmental killers.
I can usually smell petrol after starting up so I know somethings not combusting correctly. I had the car on a rolling road for tuning and was told there were a number of "minor" leaks on the exhaust system.
Am I slowly poisoning myself? symptoms are apparently, mild nausea, light headiness or dizzyness all dependent on the amount you breath in during a run out.
You can buy Carbon Monoxide Detector Spots (they change colour if its present) and they cost about £2.50 each would they work in the cabin or under the bonnet?
Any thoughts on this as presumably it could get worse when the roof is on and mine hasn't been on for over 12 months !

i'm a heating engineer and we use a lot of c.o detectors. can't recommend these spots as they can change colour with dampness, steam, sunshine etc.best to make sure the exhaust is right and the cabin sealed. one thing i noticed with mine was the fresh air vent ducting tubes were in tatters and putting engine smells into the car.
don't forget to get your boiler serviced b4 winter as well
