My wheels are those in picture B, mine have small black specks just under the surface of the lacque, it's my thought that a could refurb company could polish these out?
Yep same wheel as the majority of the S2/3's have. Carry out a check/do a search of the back posts in the S forum, a few people have had these refurbished.

Nice one Pies... was going to post the same thing. Very happy with the results... took about a week, but the car is for a few other things at the same time though.
I got my wheels refurbished 13 months ago by B.J. Vallack Engineering near Hemel Hempstead. Wheel refurbishment is their only business, and IMO their prices are very competitive (listed on the site).
I went for a powder coated finish for ease of maintenance (more details on my profile), but they also do a diamond cut (the original finish). If you're within about a 40 mile (IIRC) radius of Hemel they do a free collection and delivery service too.
I've been very pleased with the finish, and the wheels still look as good as they did when I got them back.
