ECU jobbie on a V8S
Discussion
Ren, are you going to the Swan next Tuesday?
It depends on what state your car is in at the moment, remember that a large slice of Podies increase was because the car was not set up correctly at the start. (Not taking anything away from Austec who appear to have done a VERY good job and there should be more to come when the manifolds are repaired/replaced.)
For the V8S possibilities read the Griff or Chimp forums. Are you trying to bring it back to standard tune or have as much power as you can afford? I remember struggling to keep up with a V8s on the way to Scotland ten years ago; turned out that it had the 4.3 Griff engine, that set up was on the car when it left the factory new. Then how much power is Peter H knocking out? 310bhp?

Pete is around the 270 bhp mark but it is the several gearboxes, diffs and drive shafts, engine mounts and a few other minor things that have become consumables that start to come into the equation as well.
No such thing as a cheap power upgrade!

At the flywheel. To get 270 at the wheels you need around 350 ish. The 2004 spec 520 should be around 340 ish at the wheels Tee Hee
Marks chips (Tornado)are fueling ones and do probably the best there is possible for that function on the RV8. I now that Mark is currently thinking/or has done recently about running the Tornado in conjunction with an Ignition chip to get more out of the 'whole'. Give him a ring to discuss is all I'll say.
Ren, don't dismiss a complete ECU jobbie though as well, speak to Paul at Austec re the piggyback by all means I'm sure it can be done on the RV8 ECU as well, I think he can get one that does the ignition at the same time.
Everything is possible with the right amount of money
, but I doubt you'll get it for the level of dosh that podie did for the V6 though
.
