Got a day working from home, so obviously I'm doing some TVR stuff to start the day properly

My side light needed replacing so I've just removed the old one which is marked as:

E8 3C6.7 R12V4W.T4W

The manual and Bible says it should be 5W.

Can anyone confirm what I should be getting - a R12 5W perhaps?
Already got Philips VisionPlus for the main, to fit while the units open

Thanks!

Actually one of my sidelights has blown... (good timing P3!)... so I'd be interested in this.

BTW, can anyone confirm that the headlights are H4 jobbies?

YES H4 jobbies....

Cheap as Chips....

I don't know why but my local private motor factors, seem to charge very little money for both the light unit and PHILIPS V/PLUS bulbs

Unit - £27.00
Bulbs - £13.00

The headlights are H4's IRC

As for the side lights, 4w or 5w it doesn't really matter I don't think, 1w is hardly going to make that much difference.

Because light units are common as muck, Mini, Maxi , Spitfire, Sherpa Van etc etc etc etc etc

I agree..

But why are the Units £5, and bulbs (pair) £7 cheaper there than anywhere else I've found..?
I don't suppose they are losing money..

Probably because there is always at least one retailer who is honest. Like my local motor factors who charged me £1.50 for a new clutch pipe when three local garages wanted £30 just to make the pipe, never mind fit it (Que sharp in take of breath "TVR you say sir" ££$£$$$$$£ )

Once you find em stick to them like glue and tell everybody you know, just to make sure they dont go out of business.

Right, fitted the Philips VisionPlus, which were a right to get in. I was fine once I stopped following the manual Turned the wrong screwes so have messed up the adjustment - but how hard can it be to readjust them?

Got to pop out and get new side lights as the free ones from powerbulbs.com weren't the right ones.

Oh, and while I'm at it - I took out the cabin light which has never worked. Hardly surprising, more rust than bulb!

Thanks everyone.
