CHANGING THE ENGINE COOLING THEROMSTAT ON S3

I bet someone out there can give me advice on how to do this job without a complete drain down. - Any offers?

I never drained the system when I changed mine..

I just undone the three bolts pulled the cover off, (all the water in the engine drained out on to the floor !!) replaced the thermostat and bolted it back together again.

I then just topped the water up in the swirl tank.

Not sure if this is the right way but it worked for me !!..
