I need to get the steering alignment done on my '87 S1, but no one locally has the settings. (Most have not even heard of TVR!!!) Can anyone help me with toe, camber and castor settings.

Thanks
Maybe I can stop the thing wearing out front tyres.
Now if only I could find a way to stop it wearing out back tyres.

Hopefully your mechanic will apply a bit of common sense, because some of those figures are backwards. Camber is always, ALWAYS negative, and in case there's any doubt that toe setting has toe in on the front and zero toe on the rear.

OK! These are the figures I have been looking for. So are they right or wrong?

Well i agree with Pete. Camber is always negative. Rear toe should be as near to zero as you can get it with the shims, edging to toe in if not. As for castor, there is very little adjustment, so you may not get these figures, only as close as possible. Rear camber is officially set at the factory, but can unofficially be improved if need be my adding washers or shims to the top bearing housing bolts.
