I've just bought (two weeks ago) a metallic racing green S2, 1990, with cream leather interior and wood effect dash. It needs a little cosmetic tidying, but drives very well.

It's MOT was due last Saturday, so I took it in with a little apprehension. Passed with flying colours! No probs at all. Tough little car.

The car is for weekend use only (second car, not counting the wife's), but I've already developed a real affection for it - the MOT result did me proud.

I am in the South Beds / Herts area. Anyone else local to me? I know there is a lunchtime pub meeting in Harpenden once a month, but I would love to hear from any local owners who know this car better than me.

Regards to you all.

Welcome alexkp

I'm fairly new to this too (V8S bought just before Christmas), but I'm loving it.

You'll find lots of friendly people on here who are only too willing to share their knowledge and experience of TVR's.

Glad the 'S' proved itself with the MOT.
How about some photos of your new pride and joy? (Plenty of guidance on how to post piccies from a quick search of the forums).

I can't find out how to post the pics - but I have emailed two to Pies and maybe he would be so kind to put them up here.

I have already begun tidying the interior - will post some more pics soon.

I got your addy from another post in a thread some time ago - just ran a search for "posting pics".

Many thanks Pies - very kind.

I have already fitted a chrome gearknob, tidied the dash and have a wooden steering wheel ready to fit. The horrid wooden handle on the glovebox has been replaced by polished chrome ball nobs (oooerrr!)

Next job will be a total respray - or at least the bonnet.

Looks very nice Alex..

You'll have to come over to a Mid-Essex meet (second sunday of the month - mail "Yellow Peril" for details) as several people form your area pop over.. and we get quite a few S's these days... which is nice...

Nice car.

You've just missed the TVRCC Herts & Beds meeting (Sunday), but the Bucks meeting (near Tring) is on Friday and the Middlesex meeting (Ace Cafe) is on 6th Feb. www.pistonheads.com/members/calendar/displayEvent.asp?id=3111
:RObitdone:

Don't forget the PH Virginia Water meet on 22nd Feb (usually plenty of S's).

Welcome!

As Roy says, come along to the Ace-meet - last time we had my S3, Roy's S2 and a very tidy V8S.

Hi Welcome.

Tidy looking car, good colour. Like the green capets, I think I may change mine for green if I ever get the chance.

Lovely looking car mate - and welcome to the club.

Colour looks the same as mine - BMW 'Urgen' green?

Definitely worth the run over to Mid-Essex for a convoy & top lunch!

You can start the convoy early if you run past Bishop's Stortford!

Also 3rd Weds evening of month (smaller) meet in Epping if you're interested. Just pub chat in winter due to lack of light, but nice to meet up in Summer evenings there.

Excellent choice of colour I must say!

Maybe see you at the Tring meeting this friday? There'll be at least one other green S in the car park!
